Today was really different for me. I started the day excited and was doing pretty good. Later the HEAT really got to me. I also had hydrated at ALL the stops, which is good, but unusual for me... so the last mile and a half I thought I would not make it back in time for a restroom stop... but I did. My time was not great, but at least I made it. Sorry I had to dash away as soon as I got back. I had a meeting at 10:00 so I had to hurry home and get cleaned up. Shower was great, just wish I had had more time to just stand there. After the meeting I didn't do much, watched the end of the State game...go State, then went over to my son's house, then out to eat at the Mayflower... it was great.
I am going to say, I AM proud of myself and everyone else. We are doing this, can you believe it..... Way to go, all of us.

Saturdays are always "my day" these past few months. I don't plan anything, as there is no telling how I will feel. Today was truly hot, and I started at 5:30 here in Madison, out my front door. Just went it alone, and it went well, other than soles of feet feeling very tender the last two miles. We can do this, body willing!
